How to set up Yahoo Email Account!

To set up Yahoo! Mail in Android Mail:

From your Android device's Home screen, press your Android device's Menu button.
Tap Apps.
Tap the Email app icon.
Tap Other (POP3/IMAP)
Enter your Yahoo! ID and password.

If an error occurs (e.g., "Setup could not finish," etc.):

Tap Manual Setup.
Tap IMAP.
Enter the following server setting information:
Incoming server: android.imap.mail.yahoo.com
Port #: 993
Security type: SSL (accepts all certificates)
Outgoing Server: android.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port #: 465
Keep all other settings the same.
Complete the remaining setup process.

it keeps telling me my password and username are wrong.
i log online and it work
but logging via my phone...says its incorrect...any ideas???

It is best to just use the Yahoo Mail app from the PlayStore. It works just fine.

Just found this thread because my yahoo email stopped working about 2 weeks ago. The reason why I don't want to use the yahoo email app is that I want all my emails to be in one place for me to view.

Thanks for this, worked for me too.

I found i had trouble receiving email that i was sending myself to test, then i thought i would disable the yahoo mail app just just incase of conflict etc.
Hooray worked like a dream after that..

On the galaxy s4 all i did was put username/password in then selected manual setup IMAP then clicked next to everything else. I didnt change a setting. just click manual setup then IMAP. hope this helps

BRILLIANT, IT WORKED! Thankyou so much! Ive been searching for days on how to get my emails back onto Galaxy S4 and nothing worked.

i have already setup in my phone live.com email...and i want to add yahoo....
I done these steps :
add account
email address
password...
next
is appear :
'' exchange server settings''
-email address ( i tap my yahoo email address )
- domain ( i put again my email address )
-user name ( again my email ? )
-password ( my password )
i bottom i have '' accept SSL certificates ..
and another two buttons for '' manual setup '' and '' next ''
if i chose '' manual setup ..i have '' use secure connection ( SSL )
and '' Accept all SSL certificates ..
I try both ..but doesn't work..
Please ..I need help !!!

This worked on new HTC ONE M8 - default "yahoo mail" setup listed in create new mail account would not work. The yahoo mail app sucks.

Got a Galaxy 7 phone...yahoo mail working fine until today...added the android. prefix to both incoming and outgoing server...yahoo email started to work on phone again
