You can install Launcher Pro First and then get it setup and then delete Helix.

If your default launcher is Helix...go into settings/applications/manage applications/Helix launcher/Clear Defaults. The next time you hit the home button, you'll be able to choose which one launches. You can switch back and forth like that. Just don't recheck the box to use one as default. I don't think you'll be able to transfer anything.

this is on this Launcher Pro subject..
I just decided to download this and stop using ADW Launcher...
So far I am digging this Launcher.. Any Whoooo..
I see that there is an icon pack that came with this. I was able to change the icons on the dock bar but how can I change them on the home screens??
Also I am running the beta version, what is the huge difference between beta and Pro there than the people widgets.. - 07-20-2010, 09:30 PM #6
See this thread for info on the new Pro version...
as far as icon pack that came with Launcher Pro, that I was not aware of. I know that ADW comes with icon packs but as far as I know LP does not. In any event you can normally change the icon on a screen by using a fully themed launcher like Home+++ or any of those type of Home alternative apps.... because they'll give you the option to do so built right in, or you can use Any Cut or Better Cut to make your own shortcuts and use any icon that you like.

On the topic of Launcher Pro, home screen icons and widgets keep disappearing. I guess that it's possible that I'm accidentally deleting them, but it's happening far too often and I haven't seen that I'm actually doing that.
Is this a known issue?
And/or is there a way to lock down icons/widgets so it's not so easy to delete IF that's what I'm doing? - 07-27-2010, 06:19 PM #9
