I have 144megs of memory left is this about right?
I was just wondering how much memory do most of you have left on your D1. I have 144 megs of Phone storage left after putting all of my programs on the phone. Is this low, high or about normal? Also will this be enough to install Froyo when it arrives or will I have to delete some programs? My DX has 6 gigs of phone storage left why the big difference?

That is because the dinc had an obscene amount of storage dedicated to apps. You should be fine.

Is there a way to see where the internal phone storage is being used?

Under settings there is a choice for system and phone memory. This will tell you how much space you have on your SD card and internal phone storage.

I know that. I mean, can I tell what is taking up the space? Each program. What are the data heavy applications?

Settings, manage applications should do the trick. Select each app and it will tell you the size, amount of data, and any cached data. I from time to time clear the cached data.
