How can I tell if my phone is working to it's maximum potential? Looks like my internal phone storage is 142MB, is that sound about right? What else should I look for?

I have a Droid using 2.1 still.

Does your phone lag or run slow? If not, don't worry about it. When you get 2.2 in the next few days, this will help memory management.

If it does lag or run slow, list the applications you have installed, and we can go from there.

It will run slow occasionally. Here is what I have installed. I cleaned out a lot last night, especially stuff I thought would be cool, but ended up never using.

Internal storage is 256mb (some of which will be occupied by system apps, etc.).

I'd recommend against the task killer; Jerry wrote a great article about them. You should read it and decide for yourself, though. I'd also recommend getting MinFreeManager; it lets you tweak Android's native memory management.
