Popping and Cracking when connected to another audio source?

Has anyone else had this effect? When I have anything plugged into the 3.5mm headphone jack I hear some kind of popping/cracking over what ever source that I am using. ie: Headphones, Car audio deck or Home Theater.

I've experienced it too but I just chalked it up to me having the volume to loud because once I turned it down a bit, I didn't hear it anymore.

I tried that, It's still there... I'm returning it tomorrow for other reasons so hopefully the new one wont have the issue.. Thanks for your help!
