Camera button Issues all of a sudden?

So today I've noticed the following:

1. The camera button no longer launches my camera. If I hold the button down the phone buzzes, but nothing. I can still open the camera application from the icon and I can still snap a photo using the camera button.

Any ideas on this? I tried ending all tasks and I did a battery pull. Same issue.

2. After my screen times out I can now soft press the camera button and it turns the screen back on without me having to unlock the screen.

This never happened before. The only button that would turn my screen back on would be the top power/sleep button.

So any ideas on these two issues? Do I need to replace this?

Actually nevermind, I went into Running Services and when the application opened all of a sudden all my previous camera button presses caught up. Now the camera button works again and also when the screen times out the camera button does not turn it back on.

Looks like I'm back to normal. Must have been something hanging in the running services.

Still surprised a battery pull didn't fix that though? oh well.
