Default Screen's Backlight Dead (?), Backup via PC?

Sooo, today the backlight for the screen on my DROID decided to stop working. I can receive and answer calls via the touchscreen (so I know the phone isn't dead), but can't see anything at all to actually use the phone because the screen is black.

Is there a way I can backup my apps similar to what is done with Titanium, except on my PC? (Something similar to Desktop Manger for the BB)

    Thanks.

You can't back up apps via the Desktop, and the only way I can think of to do a factory reset from the computer is if you follow the steps to flash the SBF like rooted phones do, but I think you still need the screen for that.

If you weren't rooted, and the screen just stopped working for no reason, it should be covered in warrenty (unless it got wet)
