Film on back of screen
If you slide out the keyboard and look on the back of the screen, there is a plastic film.
Has anyone removed it? Is it just a protective film to keep it looking nice, and supposed to be removed, or is it actually supposed to stay on?
It looks pretty ugly and i want to take it off, but i dont want it to be one of those super sticky things that makes it look even more terrible when removed. - 12-17-2009, 03:39 PM #2
Take it off.. not a big deal. Same film that is on the screen when you got your droid.

Nice, I took it off. Maybe it's in my head, but it feels like it slides a little better now too.

I left the film on, until it started scratching and getting little holes in it. Then I took it off.
It almost seems like that was how it was designed. It's useful, and holds on tightly, but if it comes off it's not the end of the world. - 12-17-2009, 05:45 PM #7

I took off the film. I found it the slide action to be a bit smoother without it on. Could be in my mind though...hah
