Actually the 3 fingered salute is holding down the dial button (green), hangup button (red) and menu at the same time (at least on the G1). Not sure how it's done on phones with only an on-screen menu button...

thats why i gave the alternate in the post above you. the droid uses the keyboard to hard reboot.

This first started happening after 2.1 update. But all it did was lock up the phone for a few seconds, all icons were gone and the screen couldn't slide or anything. Then after a few seconds the SD Card pretty much rebooted and it was like it had just turned on. But now its starting to get your problem and the phone wouldn't freeze it would just act normal and had to restart phone. Does anybody know if there's an SD Card rebooter app so you don't have to restart phone?

OK I tried the reboot both by turning it off and removing my battery...still nothing. Any ideas?
