Maybe it's because of the problems some people had with their doors coming loose. If it is it's great that they're giving it away for free. I haven't had any problems but I got 3 anyway.

Got three coming...lost one cover already and the replacement is now loose.

So does this mean they are aware the battery door is crappy, meaning they know it will fall off, and therefore is cheaper for them to give tiny metal plates for free than to replace a full device? :rolleyes:

Honestly I haven't had any issues with my battery cover & I take it off every day to swap back and forth between 2 batteries.
