Droid and Macbook, Magnet Malfunction

I have the white, plastic Macbook, and I discovered something interesting today about how it interacts with the Droid. I know the Droid sense magnets in the media doc and car window mount (I have both, they both work great) so I'm assuming it's a magnet issue. When I place my Droid to the right of the mouse pad on my Macbook, it turns on the "Car Home" menu of the Droid, as if it were in the car dock. I know Macbooks use magnets to keep the display closed, rather than a clasp. Taking it off my Macbook makes it go back to the home screen, setting it down again makes it go back to the car dock. Anyone else notice this happening with various magnetic things? Cases, laptops, speakers, etc?

I have it happen if I stick it on top of my surround speaker next to the couch. No harm or anything, it's just triggering the switch in the phone.

Not even an exploit. I would say its just a coincidence since the droid is made to sense magnets.

just dont put in on the macbook and issue is solved.
