My Motorola droid RAZR lags constantly. A friend recommended clean master and it helps but I constantly have to kill tasks. Is there anything else I can do to help? I know using clean master app can't be good. Please help

Don't use any task killers, RAM memory optimizers/boosters, battery savers/repairers, cache cleaners, etc. They are counterproductive, waste power, disrupt system processes and degrade performance.

Don't micromanage your phone. Let Android handle things as intended. It will automatically optimize operation if you let it. For much more information see these:

Never, ever install Clean Master or anything by Cheetah Mobile. To understand why see this thread:

I know you said to let android handle things as intended but after I lag up and slow down it pretty much stays that way until I either killtasks or restart phone.

Every time you kill tasks you only make things worse. Android learns your usage habits and you teaching it bad behavior.

Instead of trying to force Android to operate in ways it was not designed to do, you will get better performance using it as it was intended to be used.

The links in my post #2 above have a LOT of indisputable information as to why task killers, RAM managers, cache cleaners, battery savers and other so-called 'optimizers' are worthless or worse. Read and learn. Then implement what you learned, which is pretty easy since that basically means leave things alone and have fun using your phone.

Or don't. Continue making the same mistakes and getting the same poor results.

Sound a little hostile there. All I'm asking is what to do. I was told to let android do what's it does and it'll fux things on its own. The problem I've always had since before and during my use if clean master is that one I lag, slow down and lock up...it stays that way unless I restart or go into system settings and kill tasks. I'm not disputing anything. I'm just asking for help

Not trying to be hostile at all and really sorry if it came across that way. Just trying to make you understand that clearly it's not solving the problem. Time to learn to do something else.

As for what to do...
First, stop doing what you've been doing.
Second, try to find the cause of the problem and fix it instead of slapping Band-Aids on it.

Read this post and try the troubleshooting described in it. Post back here with any questions and I or someone else here will do our best to help.
