About 2 days ago I started getting the "text message not sent" on some numbers but not others.

I found if I take off the +1 in front of the contact's phone number it went through. So I deleted all of the +1 in front of all my phone numbers.

Got a text today and when I reply I get a message not sent - on the screen the contact does not have a +1 in front of the number but when I opened the unsent message details - there was a +1 in front of the number.

Handcent did not handle the +1 issue any better than the stock text program.

So if you are having trouble getting a text to go through it may be a +1 in front of the number that is the issue.

Anybody else getting this recently?

Be sure to report that to the dev and to Google. The +1 shouldn't matter if apps are properly coded.
