I am a Droid owner and I love everything about it except for the fact that it doesn't have the pinch and zoom functions of my former iPhone. I have been reading some forums from other websites that say you CAN get multi touch on the Droid. But I have no clue how to get it.

With all the ADB Shell stuffs and SPRecovery and Busy Box. I don't know where to start.

I I'm running Mac OS 10.6 and I need to know how I can get multi touch on my Droid.

Thanks

Its built in the phone. However the browser doesn't support it. BUT...Dolphin browser does. Goto the market and download dolphin browser. There is a free and paid version.

that would be the easiest way.

you can also push a modified version of the milestone (European droid) browser if you want to replace the native browser with one that has multitouch, they have the info on alldroid. essentially you replace the native browser app with that one.

using any software has its ups and down when compared to other software. Just try them out and choose what pleases you the most

alldroid is your friend if you are looking to hack the phone, there are howtos on everything and custom roms that have options to install all of these stock multi-touch apps that were left ouf of the US version of the droid but put on the european version.

I suggest if all you want is multi-touch then try dolphin browser as mentioned and there is a multi-touch gallery as well. These involve no hacking/rooting and are available in the market for free.

Anyone know if and when upgrade the OS to 2.1, will provide multitouch browser? Dolphin is alright but would prefer something more refined.

at the moment 2.1 will not come with multi-touch for US versions. I believe they would announce this, but i've read interviews where they said it is coming to future phones, whether that means in some firmware/software update or just on later phones. As of now, stick with dolphin, or root your phone to try out the milestone one.

I would like to know that too. Is it just like the standard browser with just multi touch?
