Battery use then force close!! HELP!

On my droid I was able to view my battery use but now I get the following:

Sorry!
The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly.
Please try again.
Force close

I try the next day or even a couple hours later and this keep happening. Is there a way to fix this or what would I need to do??

Is your phone rooted? If so it's the last thing you did

There's really no way to tell why.

If your phone is not rooted or modified, have you tried rebooting it?

If your rooted, you have yourself a con of worms. If not, do you have any 3rd party app manahers/killers? Or 3rd party battery monitor programs? Get rid of them...

are you running a task killer? if so, be sure to ignore system processes. yet one more reason to NOT use task killers they kill stuff that screws up basic operations.

The same thing is happening to me, and my phone isn't rooted, and I don't have any task killers, and no external battery managers. I don't know what's happening. I also have a droid 2, not the original droid.
