Default Disable "system update available" notification?

Can the notification be disabled? I'm not ready to apply the update and tired of the reminder.

I highly doubt it...just update it, it should only take a few minutes.

Someone said use terminal and change a file name but no idea how to use it and not going to experiment with this as it could do something bad.

Yeah, you could really trash your phone playing around in the terminal if you don't know what your doing.

I'm already rooted and not afraid of the command line. Anyone have a good tip for me?

If your already rooted, flash a custom ROM, problem solved.

If your rooted, use root explorer to move the update zip file from the cache folder to another location. reboot and the notification should be gone.

Move the file back to cache folder and reboot when you want to do the upgrade.

    Open Root Explorer app.
Move the File in cache to any of your SD Card Location.
