Touchscreen alignment problems anyone?

I just had to call in and have my first phone replacement on my Droid. I woke up this morning, pulled my Droid off the base and certain parts of my screen would not accept touch inputs. In portrait mode the entire third row from left would not respond and the top of the screen just below the notification bar was unresponsive as well.

I reset the phone and even formatted the memory card before to make sure nothing was causing the problem. I'm kinda upset cause I love my Droid and don't really want to have to replace it. I had it perfectly set up the way I wanted.... I guess I just get to spend some quality time with the new one to set it up, maybe I'll find some new stuff to do with it.

Anyone else have the same type of problem I had surface?

i have had similar problems with orientation. i reloaded my rom and it worked fine afterwards. if ur pretty tech savy get nandroid and make a back up on ur fone and just reload ur rom if something goes wrong. otherwise just take to verizon and have it replaced.
