Touch Screen Locking ??????

OK, here?s my problem;
My Droid Screen will not respond after it has timed out. IE: if I remove the Battery, and power it up the touch control will unlock the screen ONCE and I can navigate anywhere and do anything. If I hit the power button, hold the phone to my head to talk, or if it goes to black at all, for any reason, the touch screen stops responding, and I have to remove my battery and start all over. I have set the ?never sleep while charging? and I have the dim setting at 30 minutes (high as my phone goes) and I have installed the ?NO LOCK? app; but even then if it goes black ? the screen becomes unresponsive...oh I tried a master reset too...nothing doing

when you hit the power button the phone doesn't wake back up after it goes black?

sounds like a hardware problem, you'll have to take it back to VZW and get a replacement.
