That's a good deal. I wonder if they are doing a inventory dump for the N1?

That's good hopefully it gets more droids out on the streets. But if it means the n1 is coming I'm happy

Best Buy doesn't do mail in rebates, so their price will always reflect the Verizon price minus the rebate. They also do deals of their own, and try to stay competitive with pricing.

Will it be the same price in store as it is online?

What do you mean Tackleberry? Have you found it for cheaper then $99 without a rebate?

Sadly, the Droid is now in the backburner. They are getting ready for the Spring line up.

yea it is 199 after rebate at verizon right now. Best buy is shipping the droid to me for free. by the way the Eris was FREE if you wanted that

Is this going to be a pricing available at Verizon stores now too? I'm eligible for an early upgrade, so I'll get the $100 rebate. I was looking at getting the Droid or Droid Eris. I'm currently a Blackberry user. So far Verizon Wireless website is still showing the prices at $299 and $179 though.

BTW the Droid is $49 on wirefly.com.

Tried to get in on this yesterday after finding out about the price drop only to lose out to the not eligible to upgrade deal till 4/20. I thought I would give it a shot because I could get it from Verizon for the 199 price so thought I had a chance.
Oh well...I can wait. Was wanting the N1 but the Droid had really started to grow on me again. - 02-23-2010, 10:30 PM #17
Went to the store and got mine tonight.
I am lovin' it so far. BB treats you right. Their 30 days no questions asked return policy is great. I bought the Eris at the end of December and tried it out. I didn't like the way it performed, so I took it back. (The Droid is much better than the Eris!)
At the time I decided that I was going to wait for the N1 to hit VZ. After three weeks of waiting with no date and with $100 off the projected price of the N1, I decided to take the plunge. I also picked up the dock grand total $140 with tax.
It's nice to be back on the platform. - 02-24-2010, 12:54 AM #18
Price Drop
What price did you get it for? When you say the store do you mean Best Buy or a carrier's store? I went into a Verizon Store tonight and they still at the Eris at 179 and the Droid at $299.

Anyone purchase from wirefly using a phone upgrade/contract extension from Verizon? I have a family plan with 3 lines, just want to update mine, but if I select family plan it tries to sell me multiple phones. I'm afraid to proceed with just a single phone plan, I don't want wirefly to change my current Verizon family plan just because of this droid purchase. How does that process work? Any chance the local store might price match BB or Wirefly?

just add 2 more droids at the $49. They will try to process all of the Droids through verizon and will get a message saying only one of your lines is available and will cancel the other two.
At least thats what bestbuy did for me when i tried to buy two droids. - 02-24-2010, 09:48 AM #23
looks like Amazon has the $49.99 upgrade as well, the verification/upgrade process they use seems a lot more comfortable to me. It verifies your line is eligible for upgrade, specifically says it only changes rates for the single line you're upgrading, not the entire family plan. I'm going with Amazon on this upgrade, my local VZW store wants $299 for the same phone.

I got the droid from best buy too best price at a brick and motar without having to pay $ 299 and wait a few weeks for a rebate
The price is for both online and the store but if you buy the phone online you are really getting the phone through a 3rd party sellerLast edited by giper54; 02-24-2010 at 11:29 AM.
