    Default Reinstalling Stock Music Player

I'm trying to figure out how to reinstall the stock music player on my Motorola Droid. I am currently not rooted. Anybody know how I can reinstall the stock music player not rooted? Or do I have to be rooted? And if so what steps do I have to take in order to install the stock music player?

What music player do you have that isn't stock?

That is very true. The music player I'm referring to is the one that comes pre-installed on the phone (in my case the Original Motorola Droid) when you buy it? I would like to re-install it on my phone?

How did you uninstall it to begin with?

Are you rooted? Running a cutsom rom?

I was rooted and didn't like it so I found a forum that talked about how to delete the music player by using terminal emulator so I did that. I am currently not rooted and no custom rom either. I would like to install the music player so I can get the system update 2.2.2 FRG83G. It's annoying it keeps popping up saying I need to install it and I have tried many times even manually installing it but it keeps saying status 7 and not recognizing the pre-installed music player. Any help would be appreciated?

Chances are you'll need to re-root and manually reinstall. IMHO, you should root your device and run a stock android rom. Another possibility is just wiping the device and starting over... Might be easier so long as you back up your call log and texts...

Did you try the market? I agree wiping may be best.
