droid questions

i currently have motorola droid.......does anyone know if i can create widgets for it and how do i upgrade my software to 2.1......any other tips or tricks would be helpful. also does anyone know where i can get ringtones for my droid? thanks

2.1 is coming, Hopefully some day in March.
It was suppose to be in February but seems to be delayed

If it was from Verizon, it would be OTA. THere would be a notificaiton on your phone asking to download and install the package. Nothing for you to do.

If you are looking to root your device, look in the rooting/hacking forum, as Cory mentioned. There is a lot of info there to help you get to 2.1, or whatever you want.
