My Homescreen does not turn even id witch is on turn

Hi, sorry for the english
Just bought a droid an it worked fine
Installed a couple of apps and the following happend
All apps detect the position of the phone except the original homescreens
these are staying always in portrait except if in the dock or the keyboard it sclided out.
I switched the phone on and off but same behavior.

Any idea what I can do the get it back.
I did set the switch correctly in the Sound and screen

Any help is very appreciated.

Yes correct but it did until yesterday. The question is why did it stop?

Loose keyboard? Maybe you were inadvertantly sliding the keyboard slightly when you turned the phone sideways...

That is what I was thinking. The phone will go into landscape mode on the homescreen if they keyboard is even SLIGHTLY slid out, it doesn't take much at all. Otherwise the, it will not switch to landscape mode on the homescreen.
