getting weird error message with email

I have an OG droid that is my sisters. She just started getting this message this morning although email si still coming through. Sorry the application Email(processcom.google.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again. Any ideas? It is not an exchange email, the company email is hosted by rackspace. I have tried a factory reset and am still getting force close/report options.

I was getting the same error last week with my email. Mine is hosted by 1and1. I found it to be the IMAP settings. I changed it to POP/SMTP and have not had an issue since. Not sure what the deal is.
