? About Bootloader/Recovery on this phone

Ok so if i was to follow this to see if our bootloader is locked could i brick my phone? Do anybody know where the Recovery image is at on this phone? Isnt that what we mainly need to flash roms and make back ups.

Donno if you can brick your phone but I would def do a recovery backup before messing with it.

Looks like the bootloader is unlocked for the discussion at HoFo

I am not brave enough to start messing with boot loaders until there is a proven method. As much development that the V had, I would hope this would get a good bit of developer support. Maybe even MIUI or CM7.

Your best bet is to wait and let the developers get a hold of this and make some good roms to address some of the issues this phone currently has.

I would love to see you do this, but unfortunately I have no idea how to create a custom rom, much less see if the bootloader is locked or not..

I thought the bootloader was unloced thats what i got from this
I think the first thing for this is recovery.img a new one of those so i can do a backup in case i mess up and i dont know where that is on here.

That's awesome! I rooted my optimus v thanks to you. It would be cool if you and aospcmod could get together. You know who I'm talking about. I might have messed up the name

I know your putting your time and hard work into this but do you think if i install the update will it or can it brick my phone? Do i need to wait until your done doing what your doing?

Ok guys there are some good people from android forums that figured it out to get CWM on the Triumph.

Here is the link for the recovery:

And here is the tutorial on how to install CWM, it is VERY EASY !!!!

There you go enjoy doing your back ups, I did mine already and no problems and no for the looks of the bootloader is not locked.

I forgot to mention that Coderah the Author of the tutorial on how to install the recovery in Step 2 he says to save the recovery img. file on your computer but first you need to unzip the file then you can proceed with the rest of the steps.

What I did once I had the bootloader (Download mode) opened and I was able to see what was in the partition I copied the whole folder into my computer because this contains the stock VM recovery in case you need to return the phone for any reason you can restore the phone to factory settings and then load the stock VM recovery back to it.

CWM has been ported over, 2.2 rom or 2.3? i hope 2.3. is there anything you need to get started cooking mark?
