30% off at Best Buy Mobile

I've seen people allude to this in other threads, but no attention grabbing thread.

So, if after reading everything here, for some crazy reason you still want to part with your hard earned money, head on down to Best Buy Mobile, where all VM and Boost phones are 30% off with in-store activation. Manager at the store near me said it would run at least through the end of this week.

This offer is not available online, and I don't know about regular stores, but definately at the mobile stores in the malls.

Yeah, the store closest to me didn't have ANY triumph stuff, not even the phone.

Yeah I got in on this deal, they gave me the 30% discount and also gave me the $50 Best Buy gift card because Best Buy had the gift card deal run concurrently with the BBM discount. so Basically got the phone for around $160 before tax.

Yeah, same here. I saved more money doing the 30% off, although it didn't apply to the $35 for the first month/activation. =(

He posted a picture on the Optimus V forums and said he lives in Oregon so there is no sales tax.
So many lies.

OK you caught me red handed, I dont live in Oregon and I do pay sales tax!!! For a minute there I thought I would get away with the lie of the century. LOL

Eollie is just mad he didn't get in on this deal. He is bashing the Triumph over at the Optimus V even though he doesn't own one.

The 30% off is still going on at Best Buy Mobile, until 8-20 I believe, but the $50 Best Buy gift card was last week deals for Best Buy's stores.

Maybe you can get lucky and get them to give it to you. Again the 30% off is only for Best Buy Mobile stores.

Called a local Best Buy Mobile store today and they knew nothing about the 30% off deal. They had the Triumph in stock but for $299. Guess I'm stuck with my Intecept for a few more months. LOL

Did you call a Best Buy Mobile store, or the Mobile department inside a Best Buy store. It has only been seen at the free standing Best Buy Mobile stores, often located in malls. I suppose it could be a regional thing though.

Here in Ga, I just got the triumph for 30% off today. I asked best buy mobile about any promotions last week, but the worker said they didn't have any. Today though, another person said that they had the gift card promotion last week and now they are only doing the 30% off so no one can get the $50 gift card combined with the 30% off. When they were activating the triumph, they asked me if I wanted to be on the $25 plan, and I said yes, but they didn't have any $25 top up cards so I told them I don't want to put any money yet. When I got home, I called virgin mobile customer rep, and they said I am on the $25 dollar plan. So apparently best buy can still activate your account with the $25 dollar a month plan.

I called a BB mobile store in a local PA mall. I'm thinking I may head over to it tomorrow and talk to them in person as see if that helps.

Got mine for $210 yesterday. The best hour drive i've ever taken! One question, my brother is already on the $25 plan. Can he get this deal and not lose his grandfathered plan?

OK the $50 Best Buy gift card is back for this week for the Triumph and the Optimus V. A suggestion go to Best Buy Mobile and ask if you can get both the 30% off and the Best Buy gift card, and then try your best to convince the sale guy to give you both. Mine at first said I cannot double dip, and then I told him something about it's a week day and it wouldn't hurt to give "me" a BB gift card considering the money is going right back into Best Buy. Just talk to the sales guy, if he/she think you are cool, most likely they will enter in a code with the best buy gift card. Most associates will want you to activate at the same time, just tell them to sign you up for the $35 plan and tell them that you have a few top-up cards at home that you would want to use, so you dont have to pay the $35 in store.

Another trick you can try in getting both is offer to buy a few accessories if they agree with giving you both. Most of these stores will want a customer to buy 3+ items, so they can meet their quota for the month. You can simply return the accessories some other time or at another best Buy store later.

I've included a scan of a Best Buy Mobile ad for 30% off VM and Boost phones, bring it with you, it will be easier to get them to give it to you.

Because if he does a swap phone without canceling, that is not possible as the same MEID phone cannot be on two different plans.

LOL, after I heard he will give me both deals, I didn't really care about the activation.

I got the 30% of deal with Best Buy Mobile (in the mall). The gave me a new phone with out putting any money on the new number. Waited a few days and called Virgin Mobile and have them cancel the new number and switched the phone out to put on my existing Virgin Mobile number. So got the 30% and kept my number.. I like it. Also got a fast charging car charger and silicone cover both Rocketfish branded for $30 (Together)
