Re: Miui 1.8.12 ?
How is going from 1.8.5 to 1.8.12 an upgrade? Am I the only one that thinks that's strange?

Re: Miui 1.8.12 ?
Well the other devices on the ROM download page all had 1.8.5 as previous versions(that are now on 1.8.12). That is the only trend it could follow so I guess it went from 1.8.5 and skipped 6 7 8 9 10 & 11 to go to 1.8.12 The D2 and X are the only Moto devices not updated yet.
Also sadly from viewing the change log, I did not see a fix for screen capture save location.

Re: Miui 1.8.12 ?
i'm not saying that doesn't happen.
but i don't think it's "usually"
i've seen tons of apps/os's etc use stuff like v 1.2.2359 or whatever
they could just keep going to 9999 if they wanted
in this case, it's date based.
so 1.8.5 and then 1.8.12 and then 1.8.19 etc etc.
when they get to next month
it will be 1.9.2 - 08-13-2011, 02:58 PM #13
Re: Miui 1.8.12 ?
if something were going to go up in order, it would have been 1.8.05 (not 1.8.5) THEN, 1.8.12 would be above it. However, if it's done by date, none of that matters anyway. Life goes on.

Re: Miui 1.8.12 ?
Is anyone still having the problem of losing your phone connectivity? In 1.8.5 I would look at the phone and find out that I have no service. A reboot would fix it but it would happen again. I had to remove Miui because I couldn't trust it. I am using CM7 without issues.

Re: Miui 1.8.12 ?
I have none of those issues, but again, I do fresh installs. No bits from old ROMs.

Re: Miui 1.8.12 ?
A lot of people complaining about the loss of service in the thread for this over at rootzwiki. I was having the same thing happen to me. Kept looking at phone, only to realize I had no signal. That's why I'm back on Liberty for now. If that is fixed with this build, I'll def be back on MIUI.

Sucks that you're having connectivity problems. My signal would drop out and then quickly return, but I believe that's because I'm using V6 Supercharger and MIUI don't mix well. Right now, I'm on this build and on the road and have full signal bars. I wiped cache and dalvik cache before installing. The major error I get is not being able to change ringtones without getting force closes.
