No, I'm already rooted on 2.2 but I was thinking about at least trying it. If I have any reason to flash back to .604, I might give it a shot but I'm good right now.

I've also been searching around for anyone else that's done this but I've come up empty so far.

I give up, the SDK is not finding any updates and is not locating the device.

I was able to root using this method. You need to turn off usb debugging when you first connect and allow drivers to install. Then turn on debugging and wait again for drivers to install. Put DX in Windows Media Sync mode. In terminal run adb devices and make sure adb sees DX. After you run entire procedure do a battery pull.

I managed to re-root my X last night using the D2 instructions. The only hiccup that I had was with the system path for ADB (), after I fixed that it flowed smooth as silk.

Thanks! I was having a heck of a time getting the adb driver to install.

I did this battery pull thing when going back and forth w/ 2.1 and 2.2 and just wasted years off the battery and phone from minor chinks in prying the sucker out! (CRINGE)

Has anyone figured out how to do this in terminal emulator yet like it was done for the 2.1 root?
