UNetBootin doesn't work on all PCs, most but not all, and several things can interfer.
What size usb flash drive? takes about 381mb mounted/extracted
Disconnect everything from usb ports, except phone, keyboard, and usb flash drive. (don't need sound, mouse, printer...)
On a desktop often the rear usb ports have less issues.
Don't need to reboot from UNetBootin program, once files are on usb flash drive.
Booting from usb flash drive varies and depends on PC Model, could be but not limited to esc, F8, F12...
but need to see a boot from usb option.
USB 3.0 may not work, 2.0 is preferred.
Another Advanced Flashing option is using Moto-fastboot.exe
I only have the 2.3.5/1.3.418 files uploaded right now, but you may want to try it anyways.
Flashing Droid X2 (Daytona-MB870) with moto-fastboot.exe for Windows

I do just have one last question however lol when I was in bootstrap recovery I accidentally switched the button mapping between my home button and my back button. Meaning that now when I press my home button my screen goes to a previous screen and when I press my back button my screen goes home....any thoughts?

There are some threads on this, but don't think any reliable fix was found, or the real cause.
It maybe a symptom of flash memory failure.
Some options use a button remapper app, manually remap, or sbf.
Should be some links to remapping in my list, it's not too hard.
