Hey everybody,

I just rooted my Droid X and am looking to possibly customize it a little. I use Launcher Pro Plus and love it but I see some really interesting themes/ROMs out there and thought I would give it a try. What is the difference between the two? What is a theme and where can I find them? Same for ROMs...where can I find them and how difficult is it to install?

Thanks!!

I would try ROM Manager first.

A theme just takes the existing setup that you're running and replaces the apps with the same ones, but themed. Such as status bars, pulldowns, menus, colors, some applications (can't theme them ALL), fonts, and things like that.

A ROM is a little more complicated. Here's a link for more info Custom ROMs For Android Explained And Why You Want Them - Android Police
