That's just because it's still on the default background. All the apk's are themed black and the widgets are slightly semi-transparent black. I suppose I should've posted more screenshots of the apk's and possibly provided a darker default background. I'll take that into consideration for the next release / maybe I'll update with some better screenshots when I get the chance.

Thanks for the constructive criticism.

Just updated the theme in case anybody's wondering. Changes include but are not limited to Black Sliders, Black Default Wallpaper, and a Fully Black Notification Bar.

Themes aren't built like that. It's not about "trying" it. It's not built on Fission 2.1. If it works at all, you're basically running a frankensteined 2.0/2.1 hybrid since you'd be running all the packages from 2.0 on a 2.1 base, losing probably a lot of the point of upgrading in the first place.

When a final version for 2.1 comes out, or I have any indication that the packages included currently are the same ones that will be included in the final release, I will definitely be upgrading the theme from 2.0 to 2.1 for Fission. Until then, I haven't been supporting these new beta/RC releases as the packages can change from day to day and I'd have to re-create the theme for the new updates to the ROM. If I have some spare time this weekend, I'll consider it if the final version isn't out by then.

Posted an update to include 10% battery increments and includes a flashable update.zip style patch to overlay the battery indicator with the text percentages.

Posted Preview 4 with support for Fission 2.2.1. This preview release adds a blacked out browser and dx/android keyboards, amongst other things. Swype hopefully coming soon, I've been having issues getting it to play nice.

First off, this isn't a ROM, it's a theme. Either way, I'm glad you like my work. But you can find the battery mods in your /sdcard/BlackOut folder. Instructions, etc are listed on the xda thread. You can install DX_BlackOut_framework_10percent.zip just as you did the theme itself. DX_BlackOut_framework.zip reverts the change if you should decide that you don't like it.

Posted an update including support for Fisson 2.2.2, themed Swype, updated theming on the other Keyboards, and an updated ESPN Score Center app which is up to date with the market version. As well there have been numerous tweaks throughout the theme as a whole and the theme is now available via Fission ROM Manager.

Later today / tomorrow I should have a D2 build up. Was just having some issues with the android kb and swype, other than that it's fully functional for D2 already, I'm just not ready to release it with these issues.

Haven't had a chance to look at rom manager to see if it's there yet but thats a nice easy way to go about getting it for the few that don't quite grasp the install zip sd card root bidness yet.

Anything off the top of your head that has changed within the theme? Minor tweaks were mentioned. Are they tweaks to be noticed or performance mods?

This is a theme, not a ROM. The only things that I really do are things to be noticed. I leave the performance mods up to the ROM creators themselves. And, I don't mean Koush's ROM Manager, I mean the Fission ROM Manager. Just for clarification.

Fission is a ROM that Black Out is a theme for. Being a theme, it's purely cosmetic. There aren't any "performance mods" or anything like that to be found here, just plain old good looks..
