Root and hotspot doesnt work?

I rooted but still get the verizon you gotta pay extra screen when I try to use hotspot.

Am I missing something here?

Root doesn't change anything for you. It just gives you the "right" to do it. If you snoop around these threads (stickys are a good start) you'll find more info than you can handle.

I think you are confusing the Verizon wireless tether and Wireless tether for root, rooting does not change the stock verizon app but you can download the Wireless tether for root app from https://market.android.com/details?id=android.tether that does work with a rooted device.

Just to make it clear on this one, you are still breaching Verizon's policies to use this, so you use this at some risk...
