Couldn't you just put the tones in a folder called "notifications" like you would do any other sound file you wanted to make a custom tone out of on Android.

That is just weird. It worked OK for most. So after you selected install zip from SD card and selected the zip and hit install it would say it was OK? Then when you hit the back button and then selected reboot it would just hang on the boot logo? Sorry for all the questions just trying to see what the issue could be.

Yeah, that is exactly what happened. I had it flash as the zip from the SD and selected reboot and screen went dark, then the moto logo comes up and it hangs there. And it would get that far on every boot just hanging right at the moto logo. Very strange. I had rooted a few days ago and been messing around but this was the first time that my phone had locked up and been useless.
Not a huge, deal , just had to restore and reinstall the ROM. Good thing to pass the time while it snowed in Boston. - 03-22-2011, 01:04 AM #14
So i really want to flash this zip but i dont really feel like dealing with bad consequences....
Is there a fix yet for the possible boot problems? - 03-22-2011, 11:19 AM #15
it seems like my issue is a very isolated issue. Like I said, I had only just recently rooted and had been flashing zips all day, who knows if this is the sole cause for the lockup.
Judging by what others have been saying it has worked fine for them. You got to risk it for the biscuit

Dude(s) just put contents of the audio folder from within the zip onto your SD card. If there isn't already a folder named "notifications" on you SD card, just create one and put the .ogg files in there.

Don't mean to sound like a noob...but how do you do this?
I already managed, thanks to this forum, to Root, make a backup with Titanum Backup and get Rubix 2.0 on my X.
But can somebody point me to the right link or info so I can try to do this?
Thank you!
Nevermind just saw the post above me...what a noob...hahaha.Last edited by Sithlrdvad; 03-24-2011 at 04:19 PM.
