I went to go from liberty 1.5 to the new leak of gingerbread and forgot to do a wipe before flashing gingerbread on so my phone is stuck in bootloop. can't get it to boot into clockwork or normal recovery mode.

I downloaded the .sbf and RSD lite but since my phone is stuck in the loop my computer can't recognize it, thus RSD lite isn't really an option.

any ideas?

Did you NOT read the instructions?

Installing Firmware

1. Download this file from the TBH app or one of the mirrors below
2. Use Bootstrap to get your phone into recovery.
3. Create a backup (This is not compatible with new firmware)
4. Install the Firmware using recovery
1. select install zip from sdcard
2. choose zip from sdcard
3. navigate to teamblackhat folder
4. select the file you downloaded
5. Restart phone

If your phone bootloops you need to enter recovery and wipe data:

1. hold down power and home.
2. when you see the triangle hold down both volume buttons
3. select wipe data/factory reset ---press power button to select
4, reboot system

yeah I read it, I've done this a million times, except this is the only time I've failed to do it correctly.

I can't get into recovery which is the problem.
I hold down home and power then the triangle with ! pops up, but when I hit search nothing happens. it just sits at that screen,

Are you in the bootloader screen when you're trying to use RSDlite?

For how long are you leaving out the battery when you're pulling it?

The same thing happened to me! My droid x was stuck at the boot logo and I did the factory reset and wiped everything but it still didn't work. Then I downloaded all of the .sbf and rsb lite stuff, started the program and got .sbf onto it, but when I put my droid x into recovery mode and tried to connect it, nothing happened. the computer didn't acknowledge that it was connected.

Understandable. It's a new stock recovery and the buttons don't work the same anymore (or at all). I had to wipe and tried using the camera button, but then I remembered that button doesn't work in the new recovery. Time to learn something new!

So, I finally have everything ready. except when my Droid X connects, my computer pops up this window that tries to install software onto the X or let me disconnect it. How do I get past this?

Correct the camera button won't work. To get into the bootloader screen to flash sbf you have to hold both of the volume buttons down and then press the power button.
