Should i root ?

I had my xoom since April and was thinking about rooting it. I rooted my HTC inspire(cm7) and I'm loving it. What do you guys think should I wait to see Google fix the xoom or should I root?

I am holding off due to the movie rental limitations of rooting. And I haven't run out of room to need the SD card yet.

What lag? It lags sometimes, but not all the time. I hadn't heard that rooting had some magical, go-faster feature.

well it does allow for overclocking. and every bit of tweaking helps.

I'll be honest and say no.

If something goes wrong, and it messes up, you'll have no more warranty. You'll either have to frantically search the internet, or have a 600$ paperweight.

What, specifically, is broken about the Xoom that isn't the SD card and LTE?

Never mind I just installed adw ex and I love the performance of my xoom now I can wait for Google's update

I have had mine since day one, still don't really have a need to root, plus I don't want to have to go through the hassle of unrooting if I ever get to send it to be upgraded. Like a previous responder, I have yet to run out of room so I have no need for the SD card yet, it would be just a convenience thing for movies/music. For docs I am just using Dropbox.
