Windows 7 refuses to recognize XOOM via USB
Can anybody HELP? I just got the 3.2 update and installed a 16gb micro SD in my Xoom. I want to X-Fer movies via the USB from my windows 7 PC to the XOOM, but every time I plug the USB into the tablet, I get a window on the PC stating, " One of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it."
I have downloaded and installed all the current drivers from Motorola, updated all my drivers for the PC's usb hubs etc... I have tried several cables, tried it with XOOM debug on and off, and tried both with a cold boot plugged in hoping for windows to detect on startup. ALL to no avail. My XOOM is stock, no mods, and I am running Windows 7 /64bit.
Usually I can trudge thru these problems but this one has me stumped.
If anyone has had similar issues, or has ANY idea that may assist with dilemma, I would certainly appreciate any and all input. thanks in advance

Re: Windows 7 refuses to recognize XOOM via USB
Were you able to connect with 3.1?
I am on Win7/x64 but with Android 3.1 and I am able to connect. I haven't rooted so I don't have SD support yet.
Has anyone else with 3.2 & Win7/x64 been able to transfer files over USB?
The first day I got my Xoom, it worked on my laptop but not my desktop (both Win7/x64) but the next day the desktop just started working.
Have you rebooted the PC after the driver install? What about a different USB port on the PC? - 07-16-2011, 08:03 PM #3

Re: Windows 7 refuses to recognize XOOM via USB
I have the Android 3.2 update and also using Win7/64bit. USB connection is working the same as always. When I first got my zoom three months ago I had trouble one of my USB ports but another worked just fine.
