email attachments

I use gmail on my xoom, and every time I get mail with an attachment, it shows the clip but says nothing is there. If I use my laptop and open the same email, the attachment is there and I can open it. Why won't the xoom even show it there?

I find this randomly occurs with my e-mail as well, but it's only one in 20. I haven't investigated, but I suspect an attachment size issue with the native e-mail client.

I can open pictures that are sent, but not videos. They just show a grey box and it says 'info, but nothing shows. Is there a windows media player that will work with the Xoom to be able to watch wmv attachments that are sent to me? I've looked everywhere that I can think of, and I can't find one.
