I've got the wifi XOOM and have installed Notes Traveler allowing me to synchronise work email before and after a train journey. However I don't have wifi at work and hence before I travel at the end of the day the syncro should be timed at about 0730.
This afternoon I left the office and headed for the train. I stopped to buy a snack, coffee and had a delay standing on the platform.
When I opened the XOOM on the train I discovered my email had synched within 15 mins of getting on the train, almost 8 hours after I last knowingly used wifi.
I have the BTOpenzone app installed and can only assume that in the time it took to buy a coffee or a snack the XOOM picked up a signal, logged on and synched.
