Corporate dscount on Verizon Xoom plans

Hello all,

I just bought a Xoom from Verizon online for $199. I picked the 2gb plan to use. Will Verizon let me use my employee discount on that 2gb data plan? If so I may just get the 5gb plan. Thanks for all your help and info!

I couldn't, I had to do the 3gb (available at the time) or higher.

I had gotten the gov't discount on the 3Gb plan last March, but then received a letter last summer that informed me the discount will end at the end of my contract. Not on my phone, just the tablet.

If I remember the fine print correctly, the service has to be $39.99 or higher to get the discount. So the 5GB plan might qualify.

There is a price minimum. That is why my 1GB plan does not qualify. The one for my company is 34.99. so that means if I want the discount on my tablet I have to have the 5 GB at $50. Sorry. I just don;t use my tablet away from WiFi enough to justify that cost.

I too got the Xoom @ the black Friday promo pricing. It was confirmed by a VZW email cs rep that the tablet data plan was ineligible for corp/emp discounts.

Were you told all plans or just the one you got. If so then that is a change. I was told back in March when it first came out that it was eligible but I still had to get to the monthly minimum.

There is no discount on any tablet plans or plans for mobile broad band. Those that may have a discount are getting it by mistake and they are being systematically removed.

I was told that it only applied to the primary line when I asked why my discount wasn't applied to my tablet plan.

I have been getting a discount on my data plan since I first got my Xoom back in March also. On my phone bill it says "Mobile BB Discount". Not sure if that helps, but it discounts $7 off my $35 3GB data plan.
