How do i get ICS and How can i root the WIFI only version

I just ordered a motorola xoom.. Cant seem to find the xoom 2 on sale. And since i just hearf the xoom has ICS im not that upset about getting the xoom.. But after looking through some threads it looks like i have to manually apply this update.. Is it not available through an OTA yet??

Also is there a simple root method available for the Wifi only version

Did u buy wifi only version? If so and is it a usa version then ics will dl automatiacly

Yes i bought the WIFI only version and yes i believe it is a USA version.. So i should be able to do an OTA update??? If so thats perfect.. Is there any advantages of rooting the xoom.. I rooted my evo 3D just for hotspot.. Other than that i have no reason for root.. Unless there is a really good rom for the xoom
