1saleaday deal
a Wi-Fi refurbished model foe $299 is this a good deal or no? I've been running a rooted nook color and would like a 10 inch screen. What do you think?

Re: 1saleaday deal
Well I ordered mines and it barely came yesterday. Battery life is amazing, and overall its good. What's strange though is I got a european charger with a US wall plug adapter. Did you guys get this too? Ī am having some issues though. It wont update to ics, market wont update to Google Play, and flash videos play badly. Video will stop playing but sound will continue. Are you guys having these issues? I wonder if they sent me a european version. On about tab it says my model is MZ604 and im on 3.2.

Re: 1saleaday deal
I also ordered from 1saleaday. I am enjoying the Xoom. I got the same device you got but am not really having any issue's with the flash video, or havn't noticed. The Firmware configuration version seems to confirm that it is the European version, and if so from what I read on Motorola's web site we won't get the ICS update till Q2. I'm curious if there is any work around and what are the differance's between the US and European versions of the Xoom.

Re: 1saleaday deal
I ordered from 1daysale as well. I also got a international xoom. The charger is strange. I'm running 3.2 as well. I tried to update to ics but its saying I'm up to date.. I also had to download video codec to play videos on it. Its not bad but I'm just kind of skeptical about it.

Re: 1saleaday deal
How would you flash it to the U.S. version and would this allow you to install ICS? I really don't have any issues with the European version exept that I just must wait a little longer to update to ICS. What are the differances between the U.S. and European versions? Where did you down load the Video Codec from I'm noticing that some of the video clips I copied over from my Photon won't play on the Xoom.

Re: 1saleaday deal
Thanks I also downloaded mobo player and I was ablel to watch my movies and video's. I don't know how you flash the US version but I don't think there is any differance between the US and European version exept that we will just have to wait a littlle longer for the ICS update.

Re: 1saleaday deal
Naw, ics can't wait (for me) ordered the otg adapter. Flash drive already loaded with ics and waiting......

I've tried the method you are going to do...I purchased the otg cable and followed the instructions but I keep getting a failure during installation. I've heard that I may have to try some different USB sticks so I will try that tomorrow.

Re: 1saleaday deal
I just turned a Canadian build (MZ604) into a US Xoom by using the following method. Read the directions several times, download all needed files and install them. Then go for it.
I did not root but zipped through all the updates as they were thrown at me-and I mean they come back to back after performing the initial device setup.
One thing that I had to deal with was the xoom automatically unchecking "debugging" and "unknown sources" after the initial unlocking of the bootloader. I had to check both and then rerun the adb command. I also had an error about windows installing the drivers but after the updates all was fine and the drivers were installed.
When it was finished updating, the bootloader was no longer unlocked. Maybe I screwed something up but the Xoom is now ICS 4.0.3.
Best of luck,
boidsonly
