1.) OTG: Traveling to India on a missions trip so to travel lighter I'm taking only my xoom. I purchased the OTG cable to hook up to a memory card reader to transfer images from my cameras memory card to my xoom. Hooked it up and nothing. Hooking a usb flash drive up and the light would flash for a second then quit... What am I doing wrong?

2.) What is teh best video player to play AVI on the xoom. DL'd a bunch of movies for the flights.

The OTG cable only works with a few select devices.

Rock player is a great program for avi playback.

So it won't work on the xoom with a usb memory card reader? I saw on google where people talked about it, that's what gave me the idea to get it.

Don't know about the cable but I like MoboPlayer myself.

Neither one of those players are working... might be something wrong with the files.. Hope not.. looking for a small .avi to dl and try

When I have done with files I couldn't play is convert them with Handbrake.

Try hooking the camera directly to the Xoom with the OTG cable. Gallery should pop up and let you import images.

Works with Canon DSLRs, at least.
