Clear data from Google services framework app, then check for update. It may take a few attempts, but it will work.

You were on the money there brother. For all the gloom that surrounded the xoom, it has been an excellent device that has met all of my needs and the constant on time updates are refreshing as a Verizon smartphone user. I don't think a seven inch tablet is for me. Perhaps when a 10" nexus comes out, Ill determine which niece or nephew will get my old faithful xoom

I agree. The Xoom is the best Android tablet out, period. We shall see when the Nexus 10 comes out. But right now nothing beats a Xoom in my opinion. The Nexus 7 is complete crap. Phone UI, hardly any memory, no camera, etc. Sorry but that is half assed.
