My brother is giving me his Verizon Motorola Xoom can I use it just on Wi-fi without his SIM card?

Yes but your going to need to finish paying off the contract or pay an etf

You wouldn't have to pay off anything unless you wanted service through Verizon.

You are assuming it is under contract. I know mine isn't. But it is worth checking.

Right now I'm using the Xoom to type this, my brother never got this updated to 4G so I guess there is not a sim card and he is transferring the service over to a new Ipad. As long if I am on wi-fi will have Internet. I have switched off in settings mobile data.
