I have discovered that the email app won't connect to the server after you use the pptp vpn.
It seems that the email app uses the default gateway of the Vpn when its connected.
When the vpn has been disconnected, the email app still tries to use that default gateway but since it no longer exists, the emails no longer download and you receive a connection to email server error.
I don't understand why the email app doesn't just go back to using the normal Wi-Fi default gateway after the vpn has disconnected.
So far the only thing that will fix this is to power off the device and restart it.
This seems to have started with ICS 4.0.4.
Does anyone know how to fix this so that a restart isn't required?
Is this happening with anyone else?
