Android 4.4 Kit-Kat on XOOM?

Hello, so recently I was reading that older android devices would be able to upgrade to android 4.4 and considering the XOOM is at 4.1.2 should there be a problem?

There will not be official support for the Xoom for 4.4 but there will probably be custom roms if you are rooted.

Robert. I am a novice. The link you posted, am I supposed to back up my pictures, music and apps somewhere before downloading that? A little help? And if so, where do I find a version of kitkat that I can load?

Not trying to be a **** here. If you can't figure out how to back up pics you shouldn't be rooting. rooting is easy...somewhat.
I rooted my tab a few years ago and there is a few steps to this. Not just 1 click and done.
