i messed up, i pushed n held lil to long and when using LauncherPro it pops up a "edit dock shortcut". it wont do that if you do it right-

the only way this looks legit is if you have Launcher Pro, but stock or any others will work.
1- Download this app

2- This is not a widget

3- Open the app (config screen off and lock) check off the "screen off animation"

4- "Screen off animation" choose Old TV Style

5- hit back to save

6- put the app shortcut (screen off and lock) on home screen

enjoy-

for launcherpro users read on...

1- do above steps 1-5

2- on the bottom dock push and hold the app drawer and choose "swipe gesture action"

3- choose launch application...

4- choose "screen off and lock"

5- now swipe on the app drawer icon and enjoy...

Didn't work for me with the stock launcher. Screen just went black for a second before going to sleep.

make sure the "all animation" is on in the setting or/and put the shortcut on the home. it dont work with the power button... yet

Yup, that worked. Thanks. It's a no go for me though. I turn all animations off. Can't stand them.

No. I switched it on to try it out. Looked cool but I'd rather have my animations off so I switched back and deleted it.

Nothing too crazy yet. Still waiting on application devs to get their launchers updated (hopefully). Yes, I know they work but I'm not a fan of the tiny tiny desktop icons.

I'd like to do more with that minimalistic text widget, but what a PITA to setup. I can't figure out how to make anything decent looking, but I only spent about two minutes.

it is a pain at first but once you get a hang of it, its fun-
it's a very customizable app
