Xoom Speaker Dock and Keyboard

Anyone get the speaker dock and bluetooth keyboard? Really curious what the quality of the sound is from the speaker dock and if it is worth the money.

Also, how about the bluetooth keyboard?

I am still waiting for my Xoom to arrive (ordered through Motorola store with the Ochocinco discount). However, I am also curious about the speaker dock and bluetooth keyboard. Here's some videos I have found that showcase them

I ordered the keyboard with my discounted order from Motorola so hopefully I can give some details later this week!

The keyboard works great, would be cumbersome to take with you on the go but I guess for home/office use it would work wonderfully. Takes 2 AA batteries and supposedly will last a long time (months) if you turn off the keyboard when not in use.

I have no idea about the Speaker Dock.

Ya I got my keyboard when I got my xoom and it works great. One little anoyance is that with the way the batt compartment is placed it puts a buldge on the back side its nice for the stand on the keyboard but is in the way to make it truly portable.

I am annoyed and someone set me straight. I paid 118 dollars for the Speaker HD Dock and it supports HDMI but does not provide one in the box. 800 dollars for the zoom 118 dollars for the dock and I still have to shell out money for a f&^king hdmi cable. I am verrrrry annoyed, what would have been the problem with supplying and hdmi cable, doesn't one come with the Atrix. So I guess this is not a review of the dock, and by the way it sounds great.......but realllllllly no hdmi cable in the box or sold with the xoom.....

Speaker dock and keyboard work great. I agree with chuck that it should have come with a HDMI cable in the box though. The speakers pump out a decent volume but remember it's a dock for a tablet. The sound isn't going to blow you away por anything. The only thing someone needs to do is come up with a way to connect a bluetooth mouse to this thing and it would be perfect.

Anyone know if the HDMI output does both audio and video, or did they limit it to just video? I am considering getting one of the docks and hoped I could run it through my receiver and take advantage of my stereo system all through the hdmi port.

Yes, the HDMI outputs both audio and video. We did a demo using our big screen HD TV in our video review on MobileTechReview. Pretty sweet. It mirrors the display on the Xoom.
