I'm calling for an immediate Photoshop contest for "Homeycomb"!!!!
- 03-03-2011, 03:48 PM #3
That's "Homeycomb 2.0" to be exact.
But anyway, how can this be priced almost 300 dollars less than the 3G/4G capable one? Doesn't make any sense. Since this won't be locked and not required a 2 year contract you are paying a significant amount more just to have carrier data. This price is good but confirming that the current model is way overpriced.Last edited by scorpiodsu; 03-03-2011 at 03:59 PM.

For $250 less, I'd really have to consider returning my 3G/4G Xoom. I mean, I do like having the capability, but...

539, If it turns out to be true is excellent!

I mean its all rumor right now but I have to agree. That's a huge increase for 3g/4g.

Just checked out that link. Wow, display pictures and all. Im really anxious

I'm with you on that one....I would really have to think that over. I like the 3g/4g but I have yet to leave my house with it.
I basically just want to replace my laptop for casual browsing/computing while watching the tube. Wifi would be all good for that.
Only problem --- I've never been to a Sam's Club --- I assume you need to be a member like Costco.
Anyone know if there is a date on this --- not sure if it will fall within my 14 days to return. - 03-03-2011, 06:22 PM #18
These prices are all over the place. Motorola really sucks at marketing..

Yeah its a membership club. Unfortunately for me there are none of these here in Oregon.

Isn't Sams club the same as Costo? Couldn't this possibly be the same way at Costco?
- 03-03-2011, 06:37 PM #21
They are the same thing basically. Big bulk stores. I bet Costco gets it too.

I'm a member at both and the odd thing is that they never sell the exact same stuff. Usually slightly different models. So no surprise that only one will get the WIFI only version. Might be time to hand down my iPad. Sams is owned by Sam Walmart so maybe all the Walmart stores will get it.

Good call. I don't see why WalMart wouldn't carry them.
