Using Custom Ringtone Notifications
Has anyone been able to use your own sounds for notification ringtones on your Xoom? I tried the same method of putting the sounds in the media/audio/notifications folder and also in the notifications folder that was there by default but they never show up.
Is this a bug in Honeycomb right now? - 04-09-2011, 03:03 PM #2

Ok, thanks. I tried that and it still doesn't work. I wonder if there could be a bug somewhere. Maybe I'll try restarting and see if that helps.

Ok, I found out that there must be a bug here. I placed the mp3 file in the notification folder on the root of the "sd card" partition and when I go to choose it in notifications, it doesn't come up. I then decided to reboot my Xoom and voila, it's there.
Hope this helps anyone else having this problem. - 04-10-2011, 10:40 AM #5
No bug. You have to reboot or run sdcard rescan on all droid devices for this.
