1080p video recording?

In a couple of tablet comparison charts I have seen one or two have 1080p video recording capabilities. Do you think the xoom could be updated through software to support 1080p recording? It already has 1080p playback from HDMI. Also I remember the HTC incredible got 720p video recording with its froyo release...

Meh. I'm happy with 720p. Would be interesting to see if it could be changed.

Do you really need 1080p 720p is fine and are you going to be doing that much video with your xoom its kind of big. Yes i do think a software update can do it

1080p = Very big video files

No I don't don't record and edit huge files but i was curious if it could done that's all. And it would be cool to toggle between 720p and 1080p recording depending on what your recording. If other tablets can do it why not the best tablet the xoom.

I went through every source I could find in researching the comparison chart:

Comparison Chart: Xoom, Transformer, Galaxy, TouchPad.

Motorola, Verizon and everyone else says 720p.

Yes and as per the chart the Asus/Acer/Samsung and Toshiba all have 5mp rear cameras and are running honeycomb don't see why xoom can't get upgraded. I'm not complaining about this just pointing it out as an obvious feature missing for no apparent reason. Thanks for the chart to explain my point.
